Job description

To take our ClubEthics program to a higher level, we are looking for a fresh look at our program and reinforcement in its implementation. You will work with a small team that is part of the Night Mayor Foundation, expertise partners and affiliated clubs. You will be given a lot of responsibility and freedom to implement your skills, vision and ideas in the program.

About ClubEthics

ClubEthics is an initiative of the N8BM A'DAM Foundation to make nightlife safer and more inclusive. Almost every club says they consider safety and inclusion important, and many pay attention to it in their own way. Yet there is often no clear policy for this. ClubEthics helps with this, through workshops and training for club staff (led by the Sexmatters Foundation) we provide the tools to create a safe environment and to form and implement your own policy. We guide the clubs in this process, ensure that experiences are shared and monitor progress. With ClubEthics, the responsibility for creating an inclusive and safer nightlife falls to the clubs.

About Stichting Nachtburgemeester

Stichting N8BM A’DAM  is an independent foundation that is committed to a lively, diverse and inclusive nightlife in Amsterdam. We do this by connecting people and organizations. In addition, we keep a close eye on social developments within night culture and initiate new developments where necessary.

Activities

You will be involved in (a combination of):

  • Organizational and supporting activities of the project;

  • Guiding and advising clubs based on the ClubEthics process;

  • Monitoring agreements and the progress of the process;

  • Thinking about the content of the project;

  • Organizing meetings and events

Your qualities:

  • Assertive

  • Independent

  • Structured and able to work systematically

  • Critical and not afraid to address uncomfortable themes

  • Able to communicate with different parties and stakeholders within the night culture

  • Passion for Amsterdam nightlife

  • Affinity with the subject and program

  • Knowledge and experience around the themes of Inclusion & diversity, social safety

  • Network in nightlife is an advantage
